Earth Day Texas is the largest earth day celebration in the world – right here in Dallas, Texas.  This year there will be 13 DIY tiny houses open for you to tour April 21-23, 2017 out at Fair Park Texas.  Learn more here.  We hope to see you out there!

If you’re just tuning in, this is the sixth post in a series of Earth Day Texas tiny house village Exhibitor Spotlights: The Little Fish House build and owned by Demere O’Dell!

About your house: The name stems from my collection of unique fish-themed items. My design invokes the feeling of a beautiful beachfront cottage, laced with a “boho” vibe. My house is unique in that it has two exterior doors, a custom dyed floor design and a stained glass window I designed and created.

About you: An artist at heart, I’m an adventurous, independent person who loves learning and being active. I am passionate about those who are special to me, including humans and those with fins, fur or feathers.

What inspired you to go tiny? I wanted to build my own house, learning all of the tools and about the stages that go into that process; a tiny house was a compact and affordable way to learn. I also wanted to live in a smaller space and rent my “big” house out for extra income. I especially wanted to simplify by having less so I could focus on experiences with my family and friends.

Additional comments: My dogs are a red heeler and a blue heeler/Australian shepherd mix and they love my tiny house (so far!)
